Mobile Accomodation

Hi,

Just looking at the mo for December 2021 for best value accomodation for a young family of 4.
We have previously stayed onsite and loved the convenience of everything. However we need acconodation with bedrooms and a kitchen. Unfortunately Disney accomodation is too expensive for us. Can anyone advise on best places to look or suggest any accomodation as we are looking at package holidays with virgin and BA, private villas and Disney vacation club. Help

Hi, we are also a family of five needing more space on our next holiday and having to move from an onsite stay. I am currently doing some research on places on i drive mostly, for convenience as we don't drive there. There are also a lot of options around lake buena vista I think however may be not as easy without a car? Altho I am no expert 😊

if you are looking for dec 2021 there is no point in looking at package holidays until approx a year in advance. If you know you want a villa you can get a rough idea of flight pricing from the comparative for this year but you will need to rely on villa owners having populated their prices in someway or having released availability to the villa booking specialists. Booking a villa this far out does come with a degree of risk this far out as some owners positions may change and villas may no longer be available (which is why we went for a booking with debbiesvillas rather than direct with owners via homeaway)

I would wait until you get flights as they always are the bigger cost for us. We have stayed in Floridays on Idrive but the last few time we have stayed at Oakwater. About 10 mins to Disney, a mixture of either 2/3 bedroom condos and townhomes - quiet resort with a Walmart in walking distance.

If you want to stay close to disney then there is a staybridge resort that will meet your needs, also Caribe Cove or Sheraton Vistana resorts do 2 bed condos. There is also the Wyndham at Bonnet Creek that does condos and has buses to all the parks and is basically slap bang in the middle of disney world. Villas/townhouses are an option to the south of disney or up on Idrive there are resorts like the Enclave Suites which have 2 beds and a kitchen and tend to be a good price. Onsite there are the suites at AoA which have a separate bedroom and kitchenette or the old favourite of renting DVC points in one of the cheaper resorts such as OKW or SS. As you mentioned wanting a package you could book a fly drive and then add the DVC nights on separately. Lots of choices, if you narrow them down a bit folks on here will happily give you lots of feedback on their preferences!

We stayed at the Blue Heron Beach Resort last month which we booked through BA. They do 1 & 2 bedroom apartments with full kitchen & a washer and dryer. The 1 bed (& I think also the 2 bed) has bunkbeds in the hallway & 2 bathrooms.

We found the area really convenient and nice & close to Disney. We did not have a car but there was ample parking. We used Uber which was very affordable.

We will stay at the Blue Heron next time - oh yes & the pool was fab!
