I have read that this used to work and now doesn’t?
Technically. No.

This is because when someone gets a rider switch its meant to be used in conjunction with the standard queue. So you would all approach the entrance ask for a switch, you would get a fast pass added onto your ticket and husband would enter the regular queue. He completes ride takes baby, you fast pass the ride.

In application. Yes.

We used the system last year, 1 small child, 2 of height children 2 grown ups. Had 3 fast passes, 1 adult the 2 of height kids. Approached entrance asked for switch. Fast pass then added to the other grown up and the two of height kids (because a switch you get the adult +2 extra riders) adult 1 goes on with 2 of height kids then swaps with other grown up. That grown up rides with the switch fast pass with the 2 of height kids. 3 fast passes used, 6 rides taken.

When we went in 2018 we had myself, Dh and a baby. We booked 6 fast passes for 6 diff rides and used rider switch at each one. So effectively we ‘doubled up’ on fastpasses. Unless it’s changed since then it worked fantastically!

You can 100% only fastpass one park per day, it won’t allow you to book another park unfortunately.

But I mean if one person booked 3 in one and the other booked 3 in another park?

Im not sure that you could as when you get the rider switch they scan the other persons magic band/ticket to add the switch onto it. Which would technically link you both to one park for the day.
Ive never tried it that way though so you could take a gamble.
