Hmmm, does a hot chocolate count as that's what I'm currently drinking. Rock and roll here 😂

Haven’t planned our food shop yet but there is only 2 of us and my mum so not too worried, pretty much like a large Sunday dinner

Usually get an Ocado delivery but missed the best slots
Good luck with your Ikea trip and your room makeover. You are brave doing that so close to Christmas 😀.

I got home about an hour ago from my 12-9 shift in a supermarket and it's been absolute chaos, we've got virtually no staff due to cutbacks on top of 3 people off sick.
There's so much stock in the back and nobody to put it out we're just fighting a losing battle.
I'm just looking forward to finishing tomorrow as I'm off until Thursday

If that’s your tipple of choice then enjoy 😀 At least you won’t have a hangover 😂

I do sympathise, as I said I worked many years on the Tesco checkout and it is hard at Christmas. It’s surprising how many staff become sick at Xmas too. Enjoy your time off Taffy1959 😀

I think everywhere has cut back on staff this year! Most firms haven't taken many temporary staff on this year either. Don't envy anyone working in retail this time of year! Enjoy your days off 😁👍

We’ve been quite lucky. Tesco & M&S last night, both quiet and the food had good dates. Costco & Aldi tonight, again not too busy.

We had 3 temps on our department and 2 have already left because they've been treated so badly.

We used to have 9 staff on Friday evening and we needed them, we are now down to 3.
Looking forward to my days off so much

Friends of mine who still work in Tesco have said the same. When I worked there Thursday and Friday evenings we had every checkout open as there were plenty of staff, but now there are just a few manned tills plus the self service ones.
