Yes I'm making a start this afternoon when I've finished work. Only seem likes 5 minutes ago I was putting them all up.

Nope! Remember the 12 days of Christmas? It doesn't finish till the 6th.

Actually we're away then as it's my Dad's birthday, so they won't come down until at least the 7th.

No sorry mine are down, and even if I had left them on the tree all its needles were on the carpet anyway I wanted to do it sooner rather than leave it to the day before I go back to work, plus we will be taking ds back to Uni on Sunday. Now when dh will get the boxes put away is another matter - March maybe, or possibly not til May when he gets our cases out

6th is Twelfth Night and the end of Christmas. I don’t mind leaving them up longer - I love Christmas!

only if you are superstitious,

you can do it when you want, but in my house, my rules - am gradually "de-christmass-ifying" a bit each day - then it does not seem as bare as when it is all done at once.

Ours came down on the 27th, don't hate me!

Our daughters birthday is 29th so we like to take down all Christmas decorations and make the switch to birthday decorations before her actual birthday.
