Click and collect is now being rolled out in certain stores. You might want to investigate this, do your shopping here in the U.K. and then just collect on the way. Alternative is the supermarkets are starting to do home delivery, so again shop online in peace and get it delivered for roughly when you arrive.

You can be in and out of CVS or Walgreen in 10 minutes. Much easier than trying to time a home delivery when you could be delayed IMO.
