Spirit of the Swamp tips

We have an Airboat ride booked with Spirit of the swamps. When paying it said that guide tips were not included.

What is a fair tip and do we give it directly to the guide as we get off the airboat?

We gave a tip direct to the boat captain at the end. It's what you feel comfortable with. We gave a reasonable percentage of the cost I think.

You will have a fab time.

Suggest you take some bottled water and snacks or something to keep in boot for on your return. There is not a lot immediately nearby the ramp if memory serves.

Make sure you take antibacterial handwash though to slather on as you get off the boat before you eat.

The captain has a sign reminding people to give him tips (just in case anyone were to forget).

I think we gave $20 directly to the boat captain, he seemed very pleased with that. We really enjoyed our visit but agree with taking some water and snacks.

There were a lot of helpful signs reminding to tip

I would also be pleased with a £16 tip if I did a 90 minute job for someone which they had paid me for as well:grin

We have a $20 tip for the 2 of us, we thoroughly enjoyed it.
As for tips of the other variety - keep your mouth shut if you happen to bump into a cloud of blind mosquitos
