I had mentioned Snowdonia as it’s where we went (and was beautiful) but Sykes Cottages have properties available all over the UK so may be worth having a look at their website at the areas that interest you.

Have a look at Ingrid Flute’s website, Yorkshire Holiday Cottages, they have properties in Whitby (where we happen to have a very nice 2 bedroom apartment within walking distance of the town centre, but with secure private parking) and properties in the Yorkshire Dales, loads to choose from.

A couple of years ago, we stayed in a bungalow called Lillydale at Braehed near Lanark, if that helps. It’s 3 bed, though, but lovely. We booked through Sykes Cottages. Xx

Last year we stayed at Ducking Cottage in Bowness, a short walk from the town centre and Lake Windermere. Plenty of pubs/restaurants within easy walking distance

It was actually a terrace, but still very nice. It had two beds, both en-suite.

We booked it through Cumbrian Cottages.

My sister owns Bishop’s Castle Barn near Bishop’s Castle Shropshire. I think they only have a vacancy towards the end of September . It is a 2 bed barn conversion, right on a bridle path, within walking distance of the small town and it has a Hot Tub with views over the countryside. It is available through Sykes Cottage or I can always PM their contact details.
