I have a PAYG Three sim. What is the difference between a top-up and an add-on please?

We usually use one of these. I need to sort it next week ready for when we go. It used to be called 'feel at home', and people coud ring us whilst we were there if needed at the cost of local call, is it still the case? I wouldn't like someone to ring us and get charged a fortune.

I can't seem to find the info out on their website
