Virgin seat release time
Hi all,

Does anyone know what time I can book my seat from on Virgin? My seats will be available on Tuesday but I’ve seen midnight, 8am and 8.30am.

I think its the same time as your flight. We fly at 1pm and had no trouble getting 9 seats at 1pm at 331 days out from travel day. I check regularly to make sure none of us have been moved.

We booked our seats at 5am 331 days before flight. I think it's when they load flight details.

I second this. I check my seats every so often.
I didnt last year and we didnt know all of our seats had been moved until we got to the airport so just be warned!

There can be a change in aircraft type, or aircraft seating maps for the same type of aircraft.

Virgins system defaults the seats and computerises the names against seats. You just need to contact them and get them to manually put you back into your seat, but check the seat plan on seat guru first as if it’s changed seating plans, your seat may not be the one where you think it us..

Its when they merge two planes together it usually happens. Or sometimes when they change the time of the flight.

Both happened to us last year, i was not happy in the slightest.

I am now so paranoid i log on every morning to check our seats are the same

My seats were supposed to be released at 0800hrs but I went on about 1/2 hour before that and they were available to be booked.
