I'm at Premier Inn North Terminal, arrived this afternoon. From getting off the train at the railway station in South Terminal to coming into my room took 15 minutes. This involved walking from the station to the actual South Terminal, getting the monorail to North Terminal then the lift to ground level then crossing the road to the hotel. I've just done twilight bag drop with Virgin and had dinner in Giraffe in South Terminal. Now in my room, chilling for the rest of the evening 😀

Have a look at the Gatwick flyaway train ticket. We’ve used it many times when flying from Gatwick. It is flexible and cheap!

Shaun.

I would always recommend BLOC, even if they are more expensive than most of the others.. you are paying for the view and it's quite incredible if I say so myself!

We've stayed there for 3 years running now prior to our flights the next day.

We flew from South terminal with BA and stayed at Bloc, added on parking and for 3 weeks it was only an additional £99 on top of hotel price. Can't recommend it enough, great runway view and short walk in the morning to security.

We stayed at the premier inn north this year and it was great.
Was thinking of the bloc for next year but a bit worried about the small room size. 2a2c (7&3)
Anybody know what then bunkbeads are like?

We stayed in Bloc last year and really enjoyed it. Room is small but was no issues & being in the airport was different.
We are looking to book Bloc again or the Hilton but can’t decide.

Top tip for BLOC, make sure you're signed upto their VIP list if not already.. you could get a free upgrade like we did this year.

We originally had booked a VIP room with parking, and when we checked in we were given a key for room 848.. this turned out to be the Runway suite and wowzers, what a great night and even better view we had!

Plus you get extras such as free premium security and free coffee/tea before/after security dependent on terminal.
