Driving MIA to Orlando using i95 & Turnpike?

Will be doing this drive in 3 weeks time and notice that the i95 has Express lanes, can anyone elaborate on these and if they cost extra to use on top of the basic toll price, thanks.

I thought and assumed the express lanes were only for Sunpass so you went straight through rather than having to deal with cash

Did this both ways, just got back on Thursday. Used the Visitor toll pass so used the Sunpass lanes. Just drove straight through. First few days in Orlando the tolls were suspended due to Dorian.

Just use US 27 and have a much more relaxing, enjoyable, cheaper and often faster drive.

Why, the US27 doesn't take me to where I want to go so it certainly wouldn't be cheaper or faster.

I thought the VTP was only for people flying in/out of MCO.

I have used the US27 a few times and it has never been quicker sometimes due to traffic near the end of the journey it has takenn over an hour longer. Just bad luck I suppose

Yes they are, but does the Express lane cost more than the regular lane toll price?

We did the 27 route last month and it took nearly 4 and a half hours from AKL to MIA. Only paid tolls to go to Kennedy in 3 weeks.

Thanks guys, i really appreciate your comments but just to clarify I don't want to, and have no intention of using the 27. All I wanted to know was if the Express lanes in Miami cost more to use than the regular lanes. Thanks.
