The 4th August is out so I would think it will only be a few days if they release them. I say be bold, book the outbound.

This is going to sound super crazy but the last time I booked points I tracked the site and noticed the time they were updating the website was about 3am. (I wasn't getting up on purpose just a woman of a certain age who goes to the loo during the night so I would log in and check) on the day we wanted I got up at 3am and rang and booked straight away. They only had released premium economy on the 1st day but luckily I had enough points to book. They only release some on that day and then more as the months go on dependent on sales. In Juky I checked for this August and economy flights were available on points just 5 weeks out. You just have to keep checking which is a pain but worth it in the end. Got my fingers crossed.

I've bagged our one way pe flights 11th August next year.
I've now only got enough miles for economy return. Given we've got a 4 day window of return dates before bank holiday Monday before the schools are back would paying for extra miles (£450) needed for pe be worth it? I suppose I'm asking is there more availability in pe for reward flights? |

Could you be flexible on your return Airports. Possibility of flying from Miami or into another UK airport.
When we booked ours earlier this year a return to Manchester wasn't available on release day but Glasgow was so booked that. Then 2 days later Manchester became available so swapped to that. |

We have nabbed reward flights to MCO a few times now - ALL in the school holidays so no problems there - secure the outbound and add the return on release day - all went to plan this year thankfully...
Remember that you can go from Manchester, Gatwick AND Glasgow.. (Belfast I feel is a little too far!) Couple of years back we did a late booking ( late for us) only about 2 months ahead and got 4 x PE return flights on Saturday's in August to/from Glasgow - there were some available for August 2020 the other day as I checked - ( bit sad I know but was curious )... Glasgow is not that far from the midlands and it's a smaller easier airport... Saying that there are none now! Keep checking daily as some will appear from one of those airports.. Even flying to MIA is an option... There are MIA - LON flights available on your return date in Economy for example...
