We always go United out of Dublin and spend the night before down there as an extra night away. Clearing immigration is so handy and usually we pay around £700 each. I always book immediately on the night the flights are released. However, this year United were more expensive and Virgin from Belfast direct was a bargain. Booked for 20th June to 18th July in PE for £680 each which was about £100 each cheaper than economy classic. So going to try them this year and don't mind about immigration. Ive kept an eye and they have dramatically increased in price since then. I'd wait until Virgin flights are out and see what they come up as or try Kayak to compare for you. Virgin were also cheaper for car hire too.

BHD to Manchester with Flybe and then Virgin to MCO is our favourite route in terms of price and flight times/connection times. The only downside is you have to wait for Flybe to release their flights which they do in batches like EasyJet instead of 330 days like BA/Virgin etc. The good thing is when they are released you can book directly with Virgin for all legs of the journey. We found the airside transfer in Manchester very easy and efficient.

Go to Virgin Atlantic virginatlantic/ for flight only bookings
Flybe flights are only out until March 2020 so the BHD-MAN-MCO route for next summer isn't available yet on the Virgin Atlantic website

We booked Virgin from Belfast July 19. I wanted PE seats so kept a close eye on prices and then booked when they reached the price I was happy with. I booked at the beginning of January and did the risky thing of keeping checking the prices afterwards! The only time I saw them as cheap again was about a month before our departure date. No way would I have risked leaving it that late. We paid £845pp PE return. Love this route. BFS is only an hour from home and is so handy especially coming home as DH can't sleep on the flight.
