Yeah we have stayed there before and loved them,
Did want to book the tree houses as they were a great price with our annual passes , but eldest daughter couldnt come and it would only have been worth it if we had had to pay for 3 rooms, but i think we may do that later in the summer. |

If you download the Alton Towers Resort App you can see the wait times.

Yikes. There was me hoping for some Disney / Universal type circumstance whereby reduced park capacity and those naturally avoiding theme parks would mean shorter queue times.
Will download the app and monitor this weekend before deciding on the following one. Guess I can't gauge it much better than that. Also need to sniff out a hotel package for the night. |

Might have too rethink this. One night stay and 2-day pass for 3 is £360! I had no idea it was that expensive there. Makes Center Parcs look like Haven!

We did a one night two parks days stay at the Alton Towers Hotel on Monday and it’s just not worth the money all the on-site perks are gone No early hours, no monorail or shuttles to the park and no evening entertainment Everybody is let in at the same time and although they say they have limited capacity there was little sign of this and wait times for the headliners were 80 mins plus for most of the day You will save over £250 for a family of four staying at the premier inn and arriving at 9.00am and have the same experience I would not use the onsite hotels again until the Covid restrictions are gone

They say they’re reducing capacity but it’s the busiest I’ve ever seen it and summer hols is not helping .
We are here for the night as we always take dd for her birthday but had to move it from April . Got the Coca-Cola suite on a decent deal but would not pay full price which is where the merlin pass discount comes in . |

Saw one of the Stargazing Pods which looked a bit different which ended up being £100 cheaper than the 2 main hotels. Would be a washout in bad weather though.
