Mobile Ideas for things to do around Swansea

I’m heading to Swansea for a weekend break - any recommendations on things to do and places to eat?

Lots of beautiful bays and beaches. The Gower area is the best area for beaches, Rhossili, Oxwich, Caswell, Three Cliffs, Port Eynon are just a few of the wonderful bays and beaches.

The Marina area is very nice to stroll around, as is The Mumbles. Joe’s Ice Cream Parlour at the Mumbles is definitely worth a visit, the ice cream is delicious.

City centre has all the big stores and restaurants anyone would need for a day shopping. It’s a really nice city with lots to do and see.

If you fancy a trip out of the city or bays, then the National Botanical Gardens of Wales is around 30 minutes drive away and it’s a lovely afternoon out.

The centre is a bit of a dump currently - lots of long term construction.

Head out to Mumbles, go to Joe’s for ice cream and then out to the Gower for spectacular beaches.

Clyne Gardens is also a lovely place to wander.

When are you coming? The sunflowers are out on the gower at the moment (rhossilli) and great beaches anyway - some lovely places to eat both in SA1 and down Mumbles.

We visited the sunflower fields a few weeks ago in Rhossili, it was beautiful. Definitely recommend a visit there, lovely walks to the the sunflower fields and around Worm’s Head, the we had Joe’s ice cream (Welsh cake flavour) before leaving

La brassiere is a wonderful restaurant, we went yesterday to celebrate our daughters A level results. We also enjoy a walk along the promenade to the Mumbles xxx
