A copy and paste of mine from this thread: https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/sho... php?t=1180630

We're still waiting for our October half-term trip to be canned. I was going to line up a series of bookings for next year - Feb half-term, Easter, May half-term and Summer in the hope of having something in place for when we can all get moving again.

My view on the likelihood of a Feb trip going ahead has diminished somewhat, so I'll not be booking anything for that now.

I'd have greater confidence about Easter, but I'm not sure the odds of that are even as great as 50/50 right now.

Not just you. To be frank the way Florida's handled the pandemic meant that I lost hope months ago. We're planning on pushing back to Feb '22 now, however back in June/July Virgin Holidays were only offering extensions as far as September and we've got no interest in visiting during high season.

Balance on the holiday is due in November, if we can't delay for a year I think I'd rather take a hit on the deposit and rebook when things get back to some kind of normality...

I go in September and it's not high season, it's lovely. Still warm and the kids are back at school so not too crowded.

I've lost hope for our Feb holiday, my partner thought of an interesting way to spend the refund but I'm not sure Virgin would allow it:

the Feb trip is just me & my partner but we've got a villa booked forJul/Aug with my kids. We had only intended on going to Universal in summer but she wondered if Virgin would let us use the refund if Feb doesn't go ahead to put towards Disney tickets through them. I'm sceptical, do you think that might be a possibility?

We rescheduled our September trip to February. At the time I was sure we'd be allowed to travel by then but now I'm not so confident. I hope we can go though, masks & reduced experiences don't bother us. Our Disney balance isn't due until 27th Decemeber so I'm going to leave it last minute to decide.
