It looks quite unassuming from the outside but really lovely!
So good you went to Rosie's twice, I think?

We want to go back, someday, and do a proper brunch like the Rainbow Room you did, or perhaps the View revolving restaurant...so many great places I may need more than one return trip.

Oh I bet you will have a brilliant time. A friend went in February and I think it was cold but brilliant.

The cocktails really begin in Orlando, where you will find them on pretty much a daily basis. I couldn't quite justify spending another $50+ in NYC on a round of 4 drinks (especially when 2 were cokes)......even my usual 'oh well, we're on holiday' brain didn't go that far.

Looking forward to the Orlando portion of your trip!
I'm glad you're liking it. The kids really wanted to hire the rowing boat. It was fun, but yes we did have some words! Somehow we don't seem to take directions or advice very well when we have oars in our hands!

We've eaten at Rosie O'Grady's many times, it's my MIL's favourite.

My OH is designated driver, and I am the navigator, you have no idea how many times I've said 'no the OTHER left'!

Did you feel like you had enough time in NYC?

He he! The other left!

It was funny ... looking back it was anyway ... at the time there quite a few pouts, several puffs, many cold hard glares, talking through gritted teeth and a bunch humphs during that very long 1 hour.

I think we did feel we'd had enough time and were ready to move on to Orlando. We had 4 nights in NYC and although we barely scratched the surface I'm not sure we could have kept going at such a pace. It was amazing and I'd love to go back at a different time of the year. I imagine it is beautiful in Central Park in the autumn.

Hey. Great start to your report. I've just caught up, being back at school is truly impacting on my Dibb reading time...

New York looks great, shame it was a bit soggy to start with. You look like you managed to do loads though.

Looking forward to hearing about this airport journey. Wouldn't be me, I have the fear after getting stuck in the middle of the turnstile in Gard de Nord a good few years ago and having to vault over the other half due to the lack of staff as it was a French transport strike, we missed our train and our flight... Hoping your story had a way better outcome.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm beginning to think I've built up the trip to the airport more than I should have...
