Universal annual pass upgrade questions

We upgraded our 14 day Universal passes in 2019 on the last day of our holiday to seasonal annual passes. Universal were good enough to put a hold on them this year, and they have 5 months left when we reactivate them.

Normally we'd use them in August (hence only needing seasonal passes that have July blocked out) but we may end up cancelling our Disney element in 2021 if all the restrictions are still in place.

In which case, I'm thinking about upgrading 3 of our annuals to preferred passes to allow July visiting and maybe one of them to power pass to get parking etc.

Is it best to do in advance or at the park - can you see any issue with what I want to do?

I would give them a call they are very helpful at universal.
Also easier to have in place before you travel
