You’ve done a fab job, looks so much better. The carpet will finish it off nicely 👍
My hubby does it all himself too - he’s actually painting the upstairs landing right now to finish it off.
I supervise and provide drinks 😆Ours is grey and white too, as is the rest of the house.

I love what you’ve done with the grey on the stairs. My daughter would love it too. Is it ok if I send these pics to her? She has a new build that is white, white and white! She wants to bring some grey into the hallway and this is a perfect option. I did mine this year and I think I bit off more than I could chew. I was working full time and covering for my team who had been furloughed which meant working long hours and Sundays too. I only had Saturdays and evenings to do it and I’m not 100% happy with the result (the quality could be better) but I really did run out of steam! 12 doors, frames, skirting and 44 spindles. Next time, I’m getting professionals in.

Not at all happy for you to show her! I had one less door! Had 11 to do 2 and a half newel posts and I think 55-57 spindles!

Hope she gets a little inspiration 😁

Jane

It looks really good now, hope you are not to tired. I know what you mean about the spindles, ours were stained dark wood colour, and we had them painted white, such a difference. I did my dd when she moved in Oct, and I will be doing my ds when allowed. I was given a tip for doing spindles, put on a rubber glove, then over it put a clean sock, then paint the spindle, haven’t tried it myself, but might do next time

Brilliant job You've given me hope as my hallway and landing spans 3 floors and high ceilings and I've got it to the stage of your pictures 5,6 and 7. I was meant to have it done for Christmas-but haven't But I do need to get back on it. Being an old Victorian house, the walls are a treat to work with But this has given me a new lease of life and I'll get cracking in the morning since I took next week off

Good heavens! I thought I had a lot of spindles! It looks great though, well done. I love your colour choices.
