Suggestions Appreciated

Most days on my trip im driving. But one day at least of my trip i'm just looking at seeing some sights of disney by just riding the monorail and stopping at some resorts for a look around and food and drinks (alcoholic kind of drinks - hence no driving for me or wife).

So plan at mo is roughly as follows -

Bus from ASMovies to MK, few hours in MK.
Monorail over to CR, lunch in Contemo Cafe, have a look around.
Monorail over to POLY, have a wander, dole whip?
Travel to WL (bit stumped here, not far but not safe to walk so uber?), dinner at Geyser Point (really fancy it)
Boat from WL back to MK to watch fireworks, uber or minivan back to ASMovies.

Wondering if either CR or POLY is better to see either at day or night?
Skip Geyser Point and just stay in POLY and go to Kona?
Missed somewhere good for a cocktail?

edit - Meant to mention 2 kids in tow (4 and 8)

I have and would happily stay at the Contemporary, but I don’t think it is much of a resort to look around, it has little theming.

Poly can be a bit rowdy, but it would be more interesting to look around, the Grand Floridian and Wilderness Lodge are also both worth seeing. If this was my plan, I would go to Grand Floridian and Poly probably eat at one of these two, then monorail to Contemporary and head to Wilderness Lodge from there as it is closest and I think a quick boat ride. I think Geyser Point looks lovely and am looking forward to going myself.
