You are not dating either of them, So you can talk to as many people as you want.
I’d be wary about number 1 he is very flaky. If he was that interested he would have kept in touch regardless. So he is probably married - way too many different excuses. By all means keep chatting if you want to. but don’t expect anything.

Give number 2 a chance. You never know. Just meet for a walk or something. You really don’t know until you actually meet someone

I met my new partner online 6 months ago. I was chatting to about 10 different men, but something just clicked with him. Once we had met I stopped talking to the others. He has just temporarily moved in for 2nd lockdown as he lives 100 miles away and I was seeing him Thursday - Monday. He works from home at the moment so it seemed like a good idea.

I hope it goes well whatever you decide.

I agree with other, I think number 1 is married. I would be up front and ask him if he is. If he gives you the brush off then tell him to take a running jump.

Not read the replies as didn't want to be influenced. Never on-line dated, infact on line didn't exist when I dated. But if this was my daughter I would be telling her that No 1 is messing her around. How much does it take to rattle off a couple of words in a text message, sorry but if he is messing you around so much now then that is how your future with him would be. I would message back and say sorry as you had not heard from him for so long you assumed you had been ghosted and have moved on.
As for no 2, an hour and a half drive is nothing, my DH does this as his daily commute to work.
