Solo trip 2019 - day two - early start at MK

Awake at 06:30 finally caught up on my sleep. Decided to go to MK for breakfast and got there 08:00 then was uncertain where to eat - I'd planned for QS but there weren't any open so in the end I went in to The Plaza for a TS breakfast. Very nice in there, civilised too that early as not many people eating - those who were there especially for breakfast were all doing character breakfast in Crystal Palace.
I had the steak and eggs - mahoosive steak and with 'breakfast potatoes' as well so that set me up for the rest of the day. I had green tea with it because you get the usual hot water and a teabag. Anyway I'd already had three cups before I left my room. The breakfast was £18.60 which would have been a good price for a breakfast that good in the UK.
I met Ellie ( A Dibber) at 10am to do Big Thunder Mountain then we separated again I just had to see Country Bear Jamboree then FP for Splash Mountain. That's me in the front row

After that I went to Tom Sawyers Island that's never been open any previous visit. I walked around then sat in the rocking chair on the dock opposite Thunder Mountain ...and fell asleep it's such a lovely quiet spot. After I returned to the land of the living I went to Haunted House and Jungle Cruise then I'd had enough but realised I was just in time to see the parade. I was standing just behind the disabled area and the cast member took down a lot of the barrier because there were only 3 wheelchairs in there so I got a front row spot without having to stake one out ages prior so I was pleased with that.
All the above may not seem much done but I was able to stroll around and do everything at my own pace and I never hurried so it filled the day nicely. By the time I got home I'd had a long day and enough so stayed in and watched TV. I don't even have a TV at home so this is a real treat for me on holiday

Sounds like you had a lovely day. Not sure we have ever been across to Tom Sawyer island.
