DFCH & linking booking to rental membership scheme?

Has anyone who has booked with DFCH had any success with linking your booking to the rental company membership scheme such as with Avis/Hertz and been able to go straight to the garage? Alamo is too pricey atm.

I've done OLCI with Alamo through Andy a few times but never other hire companies.

Have you contacted Andy through his web site or phoned him to ask? He's usually very responsive in our experience.

Hi, yes he did say that he has tried and the car rental companies are not helpful. I just wondered if anyone has managed to do it themselves. I've only hired via BA/Avis before, but DFCH prices are very good and it's great to have a real person who is very easy to contact for any problems

I'm not aware of anyone having success with linking to Hertz but I'm aware of some customers who have emailed Avis UK who have added the Avis preferred number.. worth a try but unfortunately not something I can guarantee.

I think I’m resigned to queuing up, it’s worth it for the price saving, and I’m on holiday after all so don’t mind a queue. Also I’m confident we are fully covered via dfch so I can say no to whatever up selling we encounter

You should be able to email Avis and have it added to your booking no problem

uk.reservations@abg.com

Those are email addresses i've used previously to ask them to do it and had no issues
