I work in PPI and the bank to which I contract had literally lorry loads of applications delivered from CMCs on deadline day in addition to calls, letters and on line enquiries direct from customers.
There is physically not enough manpower to have even got these all opened yet, let alone scanned, logged and triaged to see if there was PPI and complete a review into the sale if there was. I would not panic, it may take many months just to sort the mountain out into workable files. At least I should have a job for a while longer

Agree with the above post. The volume the Lenders have received is ridiculous. You will be looking at receiving an answer some time around November/December, depending on the bank you are contacting.

So, I have a question... my DD has been informed that she is owed about £7k... unfortunately the firm that owes her has gone into administration, they have told her she will get something back but no details as yet...
Any wild guesses how much she is likely to get back?

Random one. I successfully claimed misold PPI on an old Argos card two years ago. Received a letter saying they are looking at the commission sold under the Plevin rule. Can’t understand why I received the letter. They deadline had passed and I've had a payout? Strange!

Under Plevin if your policy was purchased during a specific timeframe and the commission is worth over 50% of the policy you may be due a refund.

Thank you. Would imagine it was just a standard letter they’ve sent to everyone. Signed it and sent it back anyway.
