A lovely start to the trip with the surprise upgrade. I’m with you on the hot roll being the nicest surprise of all, the struggle is real trying to butter the rock-hard Economy ones. I usually don’t even bother attempting to persevere.

Nice smooth travel day. We've done direct the last few years but I've been stacking up my Avios points so we have indirect via Gatwick in our future.

What a great start - food looks the best I've seen for airline food - especially the pizza. ☺

I know right, I love a nice fresh hot roll, maybe not enough to pay the upgrade price.

Thanks, yes I can't remember ever having airline food quite as nice.

I don’t think it’s really worth the money. We can save it till just you and me and leave the others behind! With what we will save we can go all out and book the bed seats😂

Fab start with the upgrade, and I love your son's excitement at the "extras".

Nice meal to start at Bahama Breeze.

Thanks, it was good, ds has expensive taste and likes the finer things on holiday so he was beside himself (which I think was partly due to the fact he knew it was a one off).
