I too have been charged the rental from Alamo, I have put a claim in with the CAA, I have had numerous emails from ALAMO, their terms do state if the rental is booked through a third party and they fail to pay you become liable, I receved a 0.00 receipt from Alamo when I returned the car so I was shocked to find my partners bank 475 lighter last Tuesday along with another pending charge of 479 which is yet to drop off, they cheared out her account as it was a debit card, she would nave been really screwed had she not had savings!

Back home on 10th, had to book new flights but luckily no nasty surprises anywhere and credit card company were really good with us
