Alamo car hire and deposit

I know this will have been asked before but just wanted to check all still the same.
Alamo car hire booked with fly drive package uk agent .
Is the card security swipe at the exit booth still 1 dollar ? Or more .can you advise please

I see this mention of $1 quite a lot but it has never happened to me and I check my credit cards often.

I get a $1 'test' on my Card when I do online check in and that is them checking the Card is not stolen or cloned. That drops off after 3 or 4 days but that is a week or so before the holiday.

Nothing gets held thereafter.

However others are saying they get this issue so I accept they are correct. Don't hear of bigger holds though.

I got swiped $2 with Alamo, dropped off after a few days

Ah thanks sorry prob way I'm explaining it . It is normally a temp authorisation. Think we only had 1 dollar last year which did drop off ( not charge ) but sure one year we had a tank of fuel but not sure this was Alamo xx

This is never before for me ,maybe cos we don't book direct ? It's always card swipe at booth on checking and exitingxx

To clarify yes my Card is swiped at the exit barrier. Not on return though as it's already on their system

I book with a UK 3rd party supplier such as Brits or Virgin or Auto Europe etc etc etc. Never direct with Alamo

Ah thought you had booked different. Sounds like it is 1 dollar hold on card at most rhen still . Mines via charter travel x
