Pick or given

Simple one guys,in the past me and the kids have loved picking the car we get,and I foolishly thought this happened with all the companies,who lets you pick your own and who gives you the car ?

A number of companies, at MCO at least, allow you to join up to something and go straight to the garage but as far as I know only Alamo give you the opportunity to select your car.

you can pick form a line with Dollar and Thrifty but they don't have skip the counter

About 3 or 4 years ago Dollar were rock bottom of Dibber's car choice but over recent years they have shot up the charts.

Just one word of caution though on how their Sunpass scheme works. Have a read of this.

sunpass/en/tolls/rentalVehicles.shtml

I haven't used Dollar since last flying into SFB in 2008 and I don't recall it being the system then. I may be wrong but it looks to me that if you don't opt out you end up paying $50+ a week even if you only go through one toll in the week. If you opt out and decide to pay cash (which you can at 90% of Florida tolls) they still hit you for $10.

However if Dollar are appreciably cheaper I guess the $10 is a drop in the ocean.
