Those first mornings onsite...

First morning we unpacked, got dressed and left the room at about 6.30. Got the bus at about 6.45 and was at MK for 7am. There, they took the chains down to let us in and we hung about for half an hour before any other gusts turned up. At that point I realised we were a bit early ☺️

For the next few days we had breakfast ADRs in the parks that we were visiting, so we were getting out early anyway. I tried to get us to stay up late to adjust to the time so we didn't get up too early for too many days.

I love the first day of the holiday. My plan this year is to get up go for a run around the resort and hopefully downtown Disney (determined to try and exercise more this trip to avoid the DDP bloat )

We were up, dressed and had walked the 1/2 mile to Ihop before 7am, was still dark when we got there! Then we got the bus from there to universal and still there before gates opened
Next year were off site for first five nights so will only unpack the one case on arrival, but we land at 12.15 so have from teatime onwards in resort once we've got through airport and taxi to idrive

Spend about an hour trying to get back to sleep (not even worth trying) before going for a lovely walk around the resorts.

I Find a nice spot outside, roll out my yoga mat and practice, sorts any tiredness out too .i love being out there when sun is rising , it's very peaceful before the madness of the theme parks starts!

Then after I get coffee for hubby and I , and drinks for kids and wake them all up !

4 days in and I'm still waking at 5ish. Kids about the same. Hubby and Paulo are waking when they hear us up and about.

Thanks for all of your replies! It will be me who is up earlier than everyone else, Im always an early riser when Im not in my own bed. Im actually kind of looking forward to a peaceful early morning coffee on the balcony now!

Exactly what we do

This year we were up at 6am on our first day and walked over to POFQ then back to POR for breakfast.

My boys woke at 3am. We finished un packing and had a stroll around the hotel grounds before heading to mk for dining reservations.
