Looks like a good idea to me only 4 of them seems odd though. We have had gold postboxes for Olympic gold medalists/ I don’t see an issue with this.

Sounds a bit gimmicky to me. I'd rather see museums all over the country create tributes to achievements of all local people. Then in black history month for example they could promote the relevant people through their displays, local and social media. That way every community in the country would have increased awareness of their cultural heritage rather than 4 random black post boxes showing the achievements of 4 random black people.

A Facebook and ex dibber friend painted the one in Scotland a couple of days ago and yesterday was back having to repaint it as it had been defaced.. disgraceful.
