Virgin 154 days and still waiting

Appreciate the difficulties VA are under but it is now 154 days since our cancelled flight I have received several emails stating initially 90 then 60 days wait. I know can chase this through my Virgin credit card however not too sure how they could calculate the return leg from Orlando the return leg was PE by using 50 k miles to upgrade from economy. Total cost was around £980 which was UC out and PE back. I wonder if anyone else had had any joy on a return flight in March ?

Fraser, are you on Facebook? if you are there is a support page for VH/VA refunds with lots of information, I recall mention on there of 3000 VA refunds that had ‘accidentally’ gone past the 120 days, Virgin we’re supposed to be expediting those as a priority x

I raised a charge back with my bank this evening and the money was refunded immediately as 120 is not an acceptable timescale for a refund!

Not too sure how a bank can do this as I have no idea what should be refunded as we flew out but did not fly back. I had to organize our own VA flight back on 18 March.VA cancelled our return scheduled for the 25 March

send an email to executive.office@fly.virgin.com, explain your issue and they should respond with when it will be settled

Ant reason you havent done a chargeback on your card?
I gave them 14 days after their cancellation email (legally they had 7 days to refund so I gave them 100% extra). Had the money back in 2 days.

Can I ask with the chargeback how do they calculate the return cost ?We flew out but had to make our arrangements on return.

Hi I went through my Virgin Atlantic CC fir my refund as Virgin have never informed me of when I would receive my refund. Just got a letter today from CC with full refund. Did not take long once I contacted CC.
