Huge price difference on hotels

Hi can anyone tell me why there would be a £600 price difference on same hotel same dates but on different sites ?
On booking.com for example the Rosen inn pointe is over £1000 but on alpha rooms and love holidays it’s showing around £400 . Is this to good to be true ?

Have you tried phoning them and getting a direct price? I would!

We quite often see big differences in price between hotels.com and sites linked from trivago. Sometimes as much as double the price. It's usually when looking well in advance of a stay. Prices on hotels.com then gradually reduce, before going up again. Stayforlong, LoveHolidays etc. prices stay constant.

We usually book at the higher rate with hotels.com (to build up free nights), but submit a price match and they refund the difference.

We’ve had something similar recently all be it on a one night stay here in wales, we decided to book a night for our wedding anniversary at the Lake Vrnwy hotel, booking.com was £40 less than the hotel direct, when I approached the hotel they said they couldn’t match it!

After the hassle of trying to cancel my booking with Alpharooms I would never ever ever book with them again.
They had the worst customer service ever

Alpharooms changed our hotel the night before we were travelling a few years back, I didn't get the email (which was sent at 5 pm) until after they had closed their phone lines. That was the most stressful start to a holiday ever. It had been booked 11 months in advance... I would never, ever use them again!

Sometimes sites quote prices minus the resort fee to look like a lower price but you might get stung on arrival!

I’ve found Love holidays to be consistently the cheapest but weirdly sometimes they are even cheaper if you book rather than direct on their website, through the tripadvisor link that takes you directly to the availability for your chosen hotel.
Agoda are often a good bet for best prices too.

Those hotels.com “free” nights come at a price ! I’m happy to pay less and forgo their offer if they are dearer as they often are. Agoda , Love holidays etc usually are on Quidco and BA rewards so you can still benefit with a “little extra”
