Por vs Saratoga ?

Was thinking por and upgrading to disney dining plan or Saratoga with dining plan.

Where do you recommend ? I have two kids 8&4 so a good pool is a must .

I've not stayed at Saratoga, so this is a one sided response! We love POR, the main pool is great, but because there are also several quieter pools it gives more flexibility. We have always stayed in the mansions area and found it very quiet - the external doors to the rooms are excellent sound barriers from people passing by in the evening/ night. The food court has a great range too!

Stayed at both, love both
SSR would be my recommendation in terms of the type and size of accommodation, and proximity to DTD.
Both are very similar, beautiful landscaped resorts, SSR much larger which is a negative for some but part of the appeal for us.
There are 5 separate areas to SSR, we prefer The Springs due to its proximity to Carraige House etc and its between both The Paddocks and High Rock activity pools, there's also a lovely quieter themed pool in Grandstand and quiet pool in Congress Park, Carousel is the only area without its own pool.
Hope this helps

We have stayed in both and would return to POR in a flash as it was beautiful and felt like home, although the room size let it down slightly (our kids were 9 & 7). The reason we then went for SSR was to get the DDP as we wanted to try some of the restaurants that were on it. We stayed at The Paddock blocck 5510 I think, right opposite the pool, and didn't feel the need to try the main one as this has a drinks station, The Paddock Grill for food and a slide for the kids. SSR is also lovely but didn't feel as Disney as POR, little things like the shop and food court being smaller in a bigger resort! This year its OKW and the CSR for 2017 as we want to keep trying new places.
Either way I hope you love it, have a good one
Whichever you choose I am sure you will enjoy it and

I agree with mattomeara that SSR is not as Disney as other resorts, it does lack a little in theming but I stay here in the Congress Park section for its proximity to downtown disney. Nice 10 min walk and you have all the shopping/dining options that you need.
I also can't fault the rooms, very spacious with all the amenities of a villa.

Another vote for SSR here. Have stayed in both and would stay at either one again in a heartbeat. We were in the Springs as well, in a studio with a balcony that had a view over the water and fountain.

Have stayed in both a number of times and love SSR. However DD and me have booked POFQ this time as we want two beds rather than one bed and a sofa bed

Stayed in both and for us it would be POR everytime. We did not like SSR. 2 adults only here.
