When we stayed at Radisson last year, we got the train into Manchester City Centre which opened up hundreds of options to choose from.

You walk along the indoor bridge right outside the hotel reception to the train station. It takes about 5 minutes.

The train is cheap, really regular and quick to get into Manchester.

Would definitely do it again & even my OH agrees who doesn't do faffing or trains/buses.

Ooooh I really like Mowgli!
Agree- the price is really good for the food and I love the tiffin boxes.

The airport pub is great, its at the end of the runway and about a 20 minute walk. Its american themed food and the restaurant inside is aircraft themed so a great start to your holiday. There is also The Romper near by which is pyb grub but really nice. Just a thought but in T1 arrivals there is Joes Kitchen that do nice meals too, their menu is online if i remember correctly (used to work at the airport). Im sure theres a hungry horse near by too but it really depends what your looking for. Have a great holiday!

If you have time head into city centre the corn exchange or spiningfields will both give you a great range of choices and they are both easily accessible by train or metro link

Thanks guys, lots of choice! As it's not a 'cut and dry' arrival at the airport (I'm arriving from Doncaster by train DH actually works in Picadilly in Manchester and he's at work that day so will drive from work to the airport) I think it will be a TGI'S at Cheadle. I think once DH has come out of Manchester it will be for nearly 3 weeks, I won't be able to get him to go back in! May try Trafford Centre though, we'll see how he feels! 😪
