Can you please tell me the difference...
...between your duty allowance of £145 and 'Tax Free' shopping?
If you just go into a shop and buy something does that count towards your £145? (assuming you are bringing it home and not eating it !) I'm sure I have seen 'Tax Free shopping' where you need to show your passport to get a reduced price or don't pay the tax? Or did I just dream that?

I have always thought that anything you buy counts as you have not paid the tax in this country, but I could be wrong.
