Does anyone else constantly measure your child's height for rides?

I'm always measuring my children's heights thinking they would suddenly grow an inch within a few weeks no luck ha.
I need my DS to grow 2 inches in 7 months when we go back to Florida. He needs to be 40" so we can ride a lot of the rides together as a family. He is currently 37 inches and a pair of shoes would probably fill an inch :P so just need his to grow 2. He is 3 so he is still growing pretty quick at this stage right?
My DD is 44 inches and was just 42 when we last went April 16. She's made up she can now go on bigger rides she's hoping to be 48 inches to go on RnR haha she wishes. Unless she grows another 4 inches in 7 months.
Anyway sorry for rambling on.
Does anyone else keep track of heights?

I don't normally but I did the other day !
My 5 year old is a wee little thing even though she looks tall as she's slim and has long legs . She's 42" at the moment so hoping for another 2 inches by August ! Like you said , I'm sure shoes will take up an inch so hopefully just another inch to go 👍🏻

Haha I do this! My 4 year old has 3 months to grow nearly 2 inches. I'm going on my own with him so for both our sakes I really want him to grow. I'm not holding my breath though! I don't know what to do about my fast passes in a few weeks!

We did this last year. Our DD (then 6) is teeny and we really hoped she'd make it to 44" but left home knowing she hadn't. It felt such a shame as she always sees clearly much younger children in rides she can't go on and she's always so stoical as she knows it's to keep her safe etc! Measured her early on in hol outside Space Mountain and, yep, definitely too small. Measured again, two days from end, same sandals on etc- would you believe- slightly over! She was beyond excited and the CMs were all cheering for her! Must be all that swimming and sunshine!

Sorry to be bah humbug. But I wouldn't falsely inflate their height to get on a ride. They have rude restrictions for a reason. To ensure safety

I never measure. We just see what happens when we get there.

I don't think anyone suggested doing this did they?
When we last went 4 yrs ago dd was mm to short for RIP Ride Rocket and they still wouldn't let her on. Obviously now she will be tall enough!
DS 7 will unfortunately be one of the ones left looking at younger ones going on rides he can't as he's short for his age, need to measure him actually as havn't a clue how talk he is!

I don't think wearing a pair of shoes that would bump them up an inch is falsely inflating their height. We all wear shoes that make us that bit taller.
Assuming that's what you meant by "falsely inflating height" ?

We do this. Although I haven't measured them for a while. Might have to get the tape measure out :-)
