Easter weekend at Disney? Anything on?
Hi
I know they've done some things in the past but have we heard anything yet about what they are planning for Easter weekend? Thanks |

Good Friday at Hollywood studios have a paid for star wars evening event on, Epcot has the garden festival, other than that, nothing really easter themed.

I've seen Mr and Mrs Easter Bunny at POFQ. That's it. You can't even buy traditional Easter eggs on property. It's a bit of a none event but very busy.

I thought last year they had an easter egg hunt in Epcot, decorated eggs at the Grand Floridian and Mr & Mrs Bunny in MK. Nothing similar?

We were there at Easter last year, we went to AK on Easter day - I think there was a kid trail thing - you put locations of some animals on a card and got a few Easter stickers at the end. The Easter bunny was at MK apparently.
Seaworld has an open to all religious service before opening on Easter Sunday - so if you are not religious would avoid that whole area - thousands attend. |

I wonder why Americans refer to special hidden things in movies, TV shows and games as "Easter eggs" then? The term seems to have been invented by an American.
The tradition of Easter rabbits handing out eggs appears to have come over to the US with the German immigrants back in the 18th century. And the President holds an annual Easter egg hunt on the White House lawn for young children every year, doesn't he? Apparently the Easter egg roll has been going since 1878 - that sounds like a tradition to me.

We stayed at BC and as were flying home Easter Sunday, were pottering round the resort. We saw Mr and Mrs rabbit, MM and MM were there too. The kids were given a bag and the front grass was covered in chocs. They could take as much as they wanted. There was face painting too.
