Virgin Gold+ Insurance with GPS

We have a 8 seater for our trip next August with the gold plus insurance, this comes with GPS as standard,. I was wondering if these are generally built in systems in the car or a separate one like a tom tom ( assume it depends on the car you get?). Do they also have all the POIs already in as I have a tomtom from last year and has all the useful ones for us anyway and was deliberating whether to take this just in case.

It's hit and miss with the cars. We had a top of the range Lincoln last Summer and this April. No sat nav built in! How weird is that.

Assume it wont be in the car and pick it up at the barrier. If it is built in still make sure you collect the portable one as they will want it back on your return.
I very much doubt POI are programmed and even if they are some joker could have entered and then named places miles away from where you want!

Why am I in Clearwater and the Sat Nav says Epcot!
