I read not at all strict. On a podcast I listened to about it they were saying that the main restriction is wearing the pretty heavy backpack with the computer and other tech in it, but as long as your kid can do that he should be fine. I don't think they're gonna start IDing kids for this.

We plan to take my Nephew next year and he will be almost exactly the same age as your son.

Yeah it wouldn't do any harm to just pretend he's 10 while you're there... just in case!
