Mobile St Augustine - day trip parking

We’ll be visiting St Augustine in May but only for a day. Can you recommend the best place to park so that we have access to the main sights? We’re planning to do some walking around the town and maybe a trolley tour. I’m sure we’ll visit the fort too. Any advice will be gladly received

When we visited we just followed signs for downtown parking and ended up directed to a car park right in the middle of town, l think it was in or near the bus terminal. Very easy to find. It is a great place to visit and there is a trolly/ train that takes you to all the sights.

Yes, I always park in the downtown garage too. It's only about 200yds from the A1A. and well-signposted. There is a fixed price rate for parking all day. The tourist information centre is next door for leaflets/maps, and you are only about 200yds from one end of St George's St (the main pedestrianised shopping/tourist trap) and 300yds from the Castillo.

Can I jump on this thread with a couple of Q's ?

How much is the trolley for the day?
Apart from the Fort, what else would you recommend to cover in a day trip?

Will be interested to hear any recommendations in this thread as we are hoping to do a day trip in July.

If you go on a Sunday street parking is free.

We parked at the Old Jail House which is also one of the trolley tour stops. Details here

I’ll certainly update this thread when I come back if that’d be useful?
