I've not stayed at either but if looking at Atlantic Coast take a look at New Smyrna Beach, we are staying there in September and it looks so nice. Its just south of Daytona and has this really good beachy vibe looking at it. Nice beach that you can drive on but further down its not driveable and is just pure untouched beach. There seems to be too many nice places to eat and drink also. There are boat tours on the inter-coastal and you may see manatees etc. Its not far from Daytona if you did wish to visit there but when I was looking around for Atlantic coast resorts, NSB just ticked all my boxes and for some reason I couldn't take to any of the hotels in Daytona or Cocoa, not saying there is anything wrong with these places but I just couldn't settle on anywhere. I have booked the Best Western right on the beach at NSB and it looks good enough Just another place to throw into the mix for you.

Not sure why they are you're only two choices but do you know which night or two? Your countdown suggests your stay includes Memorial weekend and there may be special events and busy traffic.

I’m open to other options if people don’t really rate them ones...maybe I should have put that.
I’m not sure, guess it’s depend on where/if we choose.
& yep, my birthday falls on Memorial Day but we are there for a month so timings not too much of an issue.

Been to both but much preferred Clearwater to Daytona. Beach was nicer, not as windy and we felt Daytona was a little too spread out for us. Clearwater Beach gets very busy at weekends, for your first visit I’d try and go midweek!
