Rope Drop at AK is it worth it ?

Hi,

Have had everything planned for ages and all Fastpasses booked etc (except for FOP obviously !) Was planning to do Rope Drop at AK for Sunday 6th May but now WDW have just decided to add Early Morning Hours for that day and we are in a private villa :-(

Is it still worth making the effort to arrive early to get on FOP before queues get huge ?

We stayed on site last year and went to EMH. The only way I could see rope drop being worth it is to have a quieter time in the other areas of AK. I would have thought there would be quite a queue already for FOP.

I’d still go. Not everyone who stays onsite does EMH & you’ll find a fair few people who stay offsite be put of going AK in the morning because of the EMH. It’ll no doubt still be busy in Pandora but it certainly won’t be as busy as it would be midday there.

We went to rope drop last year in June just after Pandora had opened. Everything else was a walk on for well over an hour. It was fab.
