A MAGICal Adventure WBTA / Day 10 Halfway Across the Atlantic - 15/09/2014

We woke up this morning at 8.30am, but still felt tired, I guess after a few disturbed nights! Never mind, we could relax later; but for now it was time to get ready for our second brunch at Palo!

We headed up at 10am, where we had:

Various items from the buffet!

Strawberry Soup

I told Matt off as he spilled some! Naughty!

Chicken Parmagiana

IMG_5537 by nataliepope183, on Flickr

Pizza – Matt made his own with proscuitto and mushrooms

IMG_5539 by nataliepope183, on Flickr

I had the goats cheese pizza

I also managed to get through three Mimosas! We weren't charged for the third one (the second was Matt's).

Can you tell I liked the baked vanilla yoghurt with mango coulis from the dessert buffet?!

Brunch was $25 each plus we left a $25 tip for Andre.

Whilst in Palo, I took some piccies of the buffet so you could all see the buffet selections on display!

This chocolate sculture was carved on board!

Before going to get changed, we went out on deck for some piccies

We were sat on deck 10 near the Quiet Cove pool by midday. It was really nice as it was breezy! Just as I was settling down though, Matt came running back to tell me that I needed to see something! It turned out, Mickey was in the gazebo by the Goofy pool with zero queue, so we ran down there to get some piccies!

Once we were back at our sunbeds, I ordered a cocktail of the day (High Tide). I asked for it to come in a souvenir glass, but I wasn't charged, so it was just $5.69...bargain!

20140915_173237 by nataliepope183, on Flickr

Whilst we were sitting and chilling out, Matt's sunglasses broke (we have a glasses/sunglasses calamity every holiday!) so on our way back to the room, we stopped by Guest Services to see if they had a small screwdriver to fix them. We managed to put them back together again, just about, and I made a mental note to pop a mini repair kit in Matt's toiletry bag for future holibobs!

We had hoped to get some laundry done whilst we were getting ready but it was a bit busy so we left it and started to get ready.

On our way up to see the show, Donald was in the Atrium with very little queue so we stopped by to see him!

Tonight's show was Villains Tonight. I am not a massive fan of the Villains but actually, it was quite enjoyable.

After the show, we met Kim and Ross in O'Gills for Movie Music Trivia (non-Disney), and I had another High Tide. Kim and Ross bought our drinks for us tonight, I think. I can't remember how we did in the quiz, not terribly well I don't think (it was tricky!), but again, it was not a winning performance.

Dinner tonight was at Animator's Palate for the Villains Tonight menu. We had:

High Tide!

IMG_5570 by nataliepope183, on Flickr

Crispy cheese ravioli

IMG_5568 by nataliepope183, on Flickr

Caramelised bay Scallops with tomato risotto

IMG_5569 by nataliepope183, on Flickr

Yachtsman Steakhouse Grilled New York Strip

IMG_5573 by nataliepope183, on Flickr

I had the Strip but ordered the Jumbo Shrimp and Porcini Mushroom Tagliatelle...it was lovely but so much pasta!

IMG_5571 by nataliepope183, on Flickr

Chocolate Mousse Cake

IMG_5574 by nataliepope183, on Flickr

Apple and blueberry pitivier (I asked for nothing but Victor insisted! And I'm glad he did, it was delicious!)

After dinner, we went to the adults show, which was John Charles. I was feeling a bit chilly though, so went to the room to get changed first. On our way back to the Theatre, we bumped into Princess Tiana

20140916_001427 by nataliepope183, on Flickr

Anyway, back to the show...John Charles did a show which he described as The Beatles Deconstructed, so he essentially told the story of each individual Beatle, with some of the songs thjat they wrote for the band and for themselves as solo artists. It was interesting but our least favourite of his three shows.

We hit the hay after this, and tonight's towel animal was a swan! We were also left a momento of the voyage!

that's a shame as we're travelling together. Not sure she'll want to go to the teen club and i don't want to keep leaving her alone
