Taxi to Universal?
Hi there. We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside for two weeks in October. We don't have car hire and was wondering if anybody could advise us on how to get to Universal? Preferably we would like to get a taxi from our resort. Is this easy enough? Also, how easy is it to get a taxi back to our resort from Universal? Don't really care how much the taxi will cost but does anybody have a rough idea including tip? Thank you.

Mears do a taxi service which you can book online in advance, and I'm sure they can offer a number to call for when you want a return taxi back to your hotel.

There are taxi ranks outside all the parks, both Disney and Universal. Fare should be around $35.

How many in your party?
A Mears shared shuttle is $19 return per person, so if there are only 2 or 3 it can be cheaper than a taxi. We used them several times and they were great.

We did this.
Left POR and asked for a taxi at the front of the hotel. There was one there within minutes. Same on return. Really easy. Just like getting a taxi anywhere else, we didn't have any problems and hadn't prebooked anything.
