Kelly Park or Wekiwa Springs for tubing

We would love to have a day away from the parks and have seen on here that you can visit these parks, hire a tube and float in the natural springs. Having had a quick look on Trip Advisor it looks like both of the above you can do this at and not too much of a distance between the two. Is there a preference on which one to visit? Many thanks

We did tubing at Kelly Springs and it was lovely. We took a picnic and made a day of it.

We have also visited Wekiva Springs but we paddleboarded there not tubing

Thank you for this! I think we'll go for Kelly Springs then if we have time go to Wekiva Springs after. That's if they are as close as they look on the map and we aren't too shattered!

We have visited Wekiva but have never seen the tubing, just kayaking.

They're about 10 miles apart.

Oh are they, probably not doable on the same day. We'll probably be tired from Kelly Springs so will try Wekiva on a different day. Thank you

I remember seeing one of Tim Tracker's videos of Kelly Park but the place was mobbed, so much so that cars were being turned away. Does anyone know if it tends to very busy during the summer months?

It does say on their website to get there as early as you can as they can only admit so many cars then it's one in one out. We are going in the summer holidays but at the end of August so will head off early and hope for the best!
Oh will probably go midweek as well as it is very popular with the locals on the weekend. I think it's only $5-6 per car so a bit of a bargain really 😃

We did kayaking with Kings Landing on Wekiva - mid week mid Aug - it was very quiet. An easy paddle and natural springs for swimming and jumping off ledges - here's my boy:
