To Clearwater or not to Clearwater?
Hello
Last year we were meant to go to Clearwater for a couple of nights but ended up going on a Disney Cruise instead Next year we are heading back to the Magic, 2 nights HRH, 14 nights on site (hopefully with free dining) at WDW but am considering slotting a 1 or 2 night break to Clearwater/other beach resort in there too. We are going middle of September, we are not laze on the beach all day (but will do that for a couple of hours each day) people but would like to see it. Would you recommend Clearwater or in fact any other beach resort, for how many nights, and if so which hotel would you stay at? Thank you

We like Clearwater and we were there last May, We saw a concert at the Capitol Theatre strolled round the town and spent time on a very busy beach. Dunedin is a fantastic little town a couple of miles up the road with a beach and great resturants like Alfesco. ( seen on a place in the sun last week ).

Getting Excited

Hi,
I can certainly recommend Clearwater or if you have time and are prepared to go a little further there is lots of choice down that Gulf coast. Its quite a bit further than Clearwater but you could break it up with a nights stay, Naples has lots to see and do its probably my favorite along that coast. Edited at 11:59 AM. |

I would definitely recommend Clearwater for a couple of nights, a visit to see Winter at the Clearwater Aquarium would also be a must. It's a life affirming experience

Excited about Disney

We stayed in Clearwater for a couple of nights on our last trip. Didn't have much time for lazing on beach with the options like a boat trip on little toot, visit to Clearwater marine aquarium etc. The beach however is amazing, sand is like no other and we left wanting to stay longer. Heading for 3 nights in st Pete's this time with a boat trip but hopefully a little more time for sandcastles! Definately recommend a visit of you can fit it in ☺️
