MK on 4th July

Are we mad to consider even attempting this, or will everyone be trying to ride Avatar, slinky dog or Hagrid in IoA?

See you there if you do :-)

My DH and DS voted to embrace the crazy.

We are planning on going for around the time the parade finishes.

We have a 5pm ADR at Liberty Tree Tavern and three fastpasses booked for after. We have no expectation of doing any other rides.

At least every visit to MK after that will feel less busy!

Another Scots family here who are going to battle the madness of MK on the 4th... only done it on the 3rd before

Done Universal on the morning of the 4th once and it wasnt that bad... we did leave early afternoon though and were fighting the crowds going the wrong way...!

Also from Scotland here - but whilst I'd love to experience the celebration atmosphere, I'm shying off ANY park on 4th July I'm afraid!
I know, I know, I lack guts...

Good luck to you all though!

See you all over there!

I once went to SeaWorld on Thanksgiving Day, supposedly about the busiest day of the year. Yes it did get busy in the afternoon, but in the morning it was dead.
Many visitors are locals, and just like us on bank holidays like a sleep in, so get there rope drop and get out.

We did MK 4th July once - all I can say it was hell on earth. Where Big Thunder/Splash Mountain is there were so many people you literally couldn't move. People were pushing their way through. I wouldn't even dream of going to a park on 4th July now - I'd be relaxing at the villa or go to beach, have a barbeque or something else ..

Funnily it was the only day I managed to get the 7dwarfs FastPass so we gonna battle it and see what happens, I know from previous experience they close entry to the parks mid afternoon as the crowd levels are at max capacity so we will prob not hang around for the late evening fireworks. Prob end up leaving for a nice steak somewhere 😀
