Change in plans!

Well I’ve got to start planning again, as the trip I’d planned for in July will now be at the end of October.

Any advice on flights, especially connections via Dubai or Abu Dhabi (looking at flying with Emirates or Etihad, seem to be cheapest on skyscanner etc at the moment, unless I can get a bargain with any others). Is it easier with European connections?

Flying from Manchester so limited with direct flights.

Think I’m sorted still with hotel (staying in same area I’d already thought of) Ikebukuro but have found a nice hotel in Asakusa Bashi only 50m from station with a Japanese modern twin room which looks awesome!

Have you looked at Qatar Airways for Manchester to Tokyo?
The stop/connecting flight will be Hamad International Doha.

DD flew Quatar airways Manchester to Beijing outbound, and Hong Kong to Manchester inbound. She travelled alone and found the connections were pretty smooth and hassle free at Doha.


(She did a month long trip starting in Beijing travelling south to Hong Kong which included HKD).

Thanks for this, I’ll have a look and see if they have anything for my dates.

Never flown indirect before so just a bit worried. Been looking at YouTube vids of connecting flights for reference 😄
