Magic Kingdom tours

Hiya!
We're off to Orlando on 16th June and I've just found out about the tours available to have a look at the backstage workings of the Disney magic.

But I don't know which we should do! My wife isn't overly fussed (she's just said that we can't do the Backstage Magic tour cuz it's too long and too expensive ) so what would you recommend?

It's only the 2 of us so no worries about little people getting tired or grumpy.

Thanks.

Keys to the Kingdom is a nice one, we did that a few years ago now and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I just booked us into the Walt Disney: Marceline to Magic Kingdom Tour a couple of days ago for June.

We couldn't do Keys to the Kingdom as my DD is only 15 but I am so excited to do the tour that I've booked. KTTK will have to wait!

We are looking at the Steam Train tour at MK and the UnDiscovered tour at Epcot - both look good to us

The Marceline to Magic Kingdom tour is 3 hours in length starting at City Hall. It concentrates on how Walt saw things in life and then translated them into ideas for attractions in his parks. The highlight of this tour is a ride on Haunted Mansion with a commentary in your ear from the CM. You then go backstage at the Tangled area and into the backstage Haunted Mansion and "meet" the characters that appear in the ballroom. This is done in such a way that guests travelling on the ride above will never see you. You also get to go to Carousel of Progress for a private viewing, again with commentary from the CM. Lunch is NOT included. I would say this tour is more for the real enthusiasts of Disney history. My report on it is here:

Be warned - the trippie does contain spoilers.
