Both my best friend and I really wanted a Mr Frosty and neither of us ever got one. When we were about 20 I got her one for her birthday and we discovered it was absolutely rubbish and it turns out our parents were right not to get us one!

Another one here who wanted a Mr Frosty too, but never got one. I also wanted the game Mousetrap. When my own children were young, I bought Mousetrap for them (or me
 ). How disappointed I was when I discovered how long it took to set up.  Didn’t we all have simple tastes? Sign of the times I suppose.

I always wanted a Speak & Spell, but got a Sindy mansion instead. I loved the mansion though. I was told after Christmas that Father Christmas wouldn't bring me a Speak & Spell as I could already spell quite well. |

A ‘Johnny seven’ gun. Even now it would be near the top of any Christmas pressy list.
  This one is currently on eBay, a snip at £1200 (with free postage).
